Two unidintified boys

Both of these boys are in Aunt Annie’s album and were probably photographed at or near Finchley around 1908 or 09. I haven’t worked out their identities yet.

This gorgeous photo is of Auntie Bah in Aunt Annies album. At first I thought it may have been taken on the same day as the Grammar School Speech Day after party, but I think it was most likely posed separately.

Toowoomba Grammar School Speech Day – Thursday Dec 15th 1910

TWGS Speech Day was held on Thursday the 15th of December 1910 at 2:30pm in the Toowoomba Town Hall. The Governor of Queensland, Sir William, and Lady MacGregor, were guests of honour. An afternoon tea function was later held at Finchley.

South Africa vs Toowoomba Cricket Match Nov 30 and Dec 1, 1910

In 1910-11 South Africa toured Australia for the first time. 5 tests were played and Australia won 4-1. The South African side played Toowoomba at the Old Showgrounds on Nov 30 and Dec 1, and won by an innings and 11 runs.
