I was asked to be a guest quizmaster on the Battle of the Brains Quiz show – and this was a huge amount of fun!
I was one of five local boffins (that’s a good thing, right?) to ask a question of the panelists, or teams – I was asked to ask something about birds, so obviously it had to be parrots.
So my question was which critically endangered parrot has recently been sighted on the Toowoomba range?
There was a lot of guessing and backwards and forwards by the teams – and no one got it – so after hyping the audience up a bit I finally gave the answer – Swift parrots of course!
The whole night was a lot of fun, and ended on a high – and long may the festival and this quiz show continue!
